Residents of Oghara Community in Ethiope West Local Government Area, as well as the group ISGN have showered encomium on the House of Reps member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, for successfully completing the reconstruction of the Hope Abijor-Ayigbe Road project and several others.
While fielding questions from newsmen during a recent project inspection, the ISGN team led by the Director, Media, Henry Ofa P.hD, JP, who was accompanied by Mr.Omaghomi Aghogho, recalled that the reconstruction of the Hope Abijor-Ayigbe Road project which commenced some weeks ago has been successfully completed.
Ofa offered that the road was very strategic to the socio-economic lives of the people of that section of the Federal Constituency, commending the contractor for a job well done.
“You may recall that a few weeks ago, the ISGN Media Team embarked on a project inspection tour facilitated by our Representative, Mrs Erhiatake Ibori Suenu. During that exercise, we announced the commencement of several road projects at Adjamuyavwe, including multiple road spurs and other people-oriented projects across the constituency.
“In the same spirit, and as part of activities marking Democracy Day on June 12, the Media Team visited various project sites within the constituency. We are proud and pleased to inform our constituents that the Hope Abijor-Ayigbe Road project has been successfully completed, including the construction of drainage systems. The community has expressed great appreciation and satisfaction with the project”, he said.
According to him, “the Hope Abijor-Ayigbe Road project links several communities in the Ethiope West LGA headquarters including critical access to the kingdom’s main market, the Delta State Teaching Hospital Oghara, the Delta State Polytechnic Otefe Oghara, and the popular Western Delta University.
“It is also used daily by farmers, students, pupils, teachers, traders, and residents, while providing access to the main expressway leading to Benin City.”
Emphasizing further, the strategic importance of the road, Ofa noted that “the economic and social impact of this road on the community, educational institutions, healthcare access, local businesses, the kingdom, the local government, and the state at large is significant and far-reaching”.
The ISGN Media director commended the Principal, Hon. Mrs. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu for facilitating the reconstruction of the road and other similar projects across the federal constituency, adding that the inspection exercise was a part of the event commemorating Day as well as the celebration of the lawmaker’s third anniversary in the Green Chamber.
“As we commemorate Democracy Day and prepare to mark the third anniversary of our Representative on June 13, we commend her efforts in facilitating this important project for the benefit of the community. We also appreciate the contractor for delivering quality work and ensuring the successful completion of the project within time”, he disclosed.
He used the opportunity to call on contractors handling other constituency projects to expedite their work and ensure timely completion. Those who have not yet commenced work are encouraged to mobilize to their respective sites without further delay.
Ofa also reiterated Hon. Erhiatake’s continued provision of good leadership, commitment, and dedication for the growth and development of the Ethiope constituency through the numerous projects and programmes facilitated so far.
“We therefore congratulate our Representative and the good people of the Ethiope constituency on this achievement”, he added.
Finally, the Media director assured that the group would use the celebration of the Amazon’s third year in office slated for tomorrow June 13, to showcase more of her achievements so far.
