The Ame of Oghara kingdom, former Honorable Commissioner of DESOPADEC and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Dr. Henry Ogheneochuko Ofa, has celebrated his dear wife, Mrs. Kate Ogheneochuko-Afighi Ofa, as she clocks her golden age with good health and prosperity.
In a statement released by Dr. Ofa as a goodwill message, he described the wife as an epitome of love, kindness and patience, adding that in spite of the crowded house she was married into, she never complained nor expressed disappointment, just as he extolled her generosity and accommodating capacity.
“For 25 years and 10 months, we have journeyed together in marriage, and I am grateful that our union has continued to grow stronger in love, understanding, friendship, and companionship.
“Kate, when you came into my life, you embraced not only me but also a household of almost two dozen people living with me (family members, friends, others). The privacy and comfort a newly married woman would naturally desire were hardly available to you. Yet, you accepted this unusual situation with extraordinary kindness, humility, patience, and understanding.
“Your ability to accommodate people so generously, especially as a young and newly married woman, was truly remarkable. You took on the responsibility of preparing meals and caring for such a large household day after day, without complaining or making anyone feel like a burden.
“That quality of yours—your rare spirit of accommodation and kindness—is one of the things I will forever cherish and admire about you”, Ofa offered.
Dr. Ofa also commended Mrs. Kate Ogheneochuko-Afighi Ofa for her selfless commitment and invaluable contribution to the development of the family, adding that “Your passion for ensuring that the name of our kingdom remains alive in the thoughts and consciousness of generations is legendary and truly remarkable.
“It is a reflection of your selflessness and your belief that what we build should be greater than ourselves. It is in that spirit that we have Oghara Street at the heart of Asaba the State Capital, of Delta State,and that our family hospitality business proudly bears the name Oghara Hotels”.
While thanking all those who have contributed to the success of the marriage for the past 25 years and indeed, her 50th birthday celebration, Dr. Ofa reiterated the invaluable companionship of his wife, stressing that she has been a woman of inestimable value.
He prayed God to grant her good health, happiness and peace of mind.
“You have been my wife-Kate,my companion, my comfort, and a pillar of our home. You are truly a woman of inestimable value,a teacher and a counselor to behold.
“On your 50th birthday, I pray that God rewards you for every sacrifice you have made, grants you many more years in good health, peace, happiness, and fulfilment, and continues to protect you and grant the desires of your heart”, Ofa concluded.
