Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has charged
Urhobo sons and daughters in privileged offices and positions to rise above divisions and embrace a new spirit of unity and mutual support that will accelerate the growth of the Urhobo Nation.

The senator gave this charge during a vibrant “Meet-and-Greet” session he hosted in Abuja during the week, bringing together an impressive mix of Urhobo professionals, leaders, and stakeholders in diverse fields from across the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

According to the Distinguished Senator, the event was carefully designed to move beyond casual networking and instead serve as a rallying point for shared vision, promoting collaboration and strengthening ties.

He urged participants to look out for one another, stressing that no Urhobo son or daughter should be left behind in their quest for advancement.

“During the week, I had the pleasure of hosting another Meet-and-Greet in Abuja, which brought together Urhobo people from diverse fields, with the goal of promoting unity, support, and collaboration among our people.

“I encouraged everyone present to create opportunities and support their fellow Urhobo brothers and sisters wherever they find themselves. I also urged them to pull up other Urhobos in need of support, so that together, we can all grow in our various workplaces.

“This is more than just a networking event. It’s an opportunity for Urhobo people to connect, share ideas, and reaffirm our collective commitment to the progress and development of our Senatorial District and the Urhobo Nation as a whole,” he said.

Describing the Abuja forum as a springboard for greater synergy, Dafinone promised that the Meet-and-Greet series would not end in the capital but extend to other parts of Nigeria and even the diaspora. His goal, he explained, is to steadily widen the circle of Urhobo participation until every segment of the community is drawn into the movement for collective progress.

Reaffirming his personal commitment, the senator stressed that fostering Urhobo unity and driving development in Delta Central are responsibilities he will continue to champion both at home and at the national stage.
