President of Urhobo Youths Worldwide, Comrade Blessed Ughere has called on Delta Central youths to rally round Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori and Distinguished Senator Ede Dafinone in their quests for a second term in office in 2027.

Ughere who cited several landmark achievements and leadership responsibility of Gov. Oborevwori and Senator Dafinone, reiterated that the duo have continued to respond positively to Urhobo youths genuine concerns, adding that it is a mark excellent leadership.

“We must sincerely appreciate His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and our distinguished Senator, Senator Ede Dafinone, for being listening and responsive leaders to the Urhobo nation.

Beyond words, Senator Ede Dafinone has consistently shown that he is a leader who listens and acts. Whenever the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Worldwide calls on him, he has always been available to support the interests of our people”, Ughere testified.

Speaking further, the Urhobo Youths president disclosed that Senator Dafinone facilitated the recruitment of 20 Urhobo youths for ongoing NCDMB Communication Training programme, adding that it was just one of the numerous opportunities which the Senator has provided for the youths.

“I can personally testify to this.
Sometime around September last year, I received information about the NCDMB Media and Communication Training. After trying other contacts, I remembered that our own Senator Ede Dafinone is the Vice Chairman of the NCDMB Committee in the Senate.

“I reached out to him immediately. Without hesitation, he contacted the Board, and within two days, I was asked to submit 20 names for the training.

Today, I am proud to say that 20 Urhobo youths are currently participating in the ongoing NCDMB Communication Training, and all of them are doing well. This is just one out of the numerous opportunities he has provided Urhobo youths without partisan bias”, he emphasized.

Ughere stated that Dafinone’s accessibility and responsiveness to the demands of his constituents stand him out as an excellent leader and representative of his people.

“This is what responsive leadership looks like. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. rightly stated, “The ultimate test of a leader is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and responsiveness to his people.” Senator Dafinone has passed this test in action.

“We must be grateful to God for giving Urhobo leaders who listen and take action. When Urhobo youths raise genuine concerns, our leaders respond. That is the leadership we have always desired” he said.

He therefore urged Urhobo youths to rally round Senator Dafinone for a second term in office just as the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, today, lifted the ban of political campaigns for the presidency and National Assembly.

“For this reason, Urhobo youths must rally around Senator Ede Dafinone and support him to complete all that he has started.

“Our appreciation must go beyond words. We must recognize and support leaders committed to the empowerment of our people.

“Because True representation is not measured by the length of speeches in the chambers, but by the number of lives lifted in the communities.

“His performance stands tall. Therefore, I endorse him and I support him for a second term”, Ughere assured, adding that “the opportunity you gave these 20 youths is an investment in their skills, confidence, and future. May God continue to strengthen you”.
