Immediate past Nigerian Ambassador to Thailand and APC Stalwart in Delta State, Amb. Oma Djebah has congratulated the Executive Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as he celebrates his 62nd Birthday.

Djebah who expressed conveyed his goodwill messages to the governor recently, also underscored some of his strategic achievements that have visibly transformed and reshaped the state into an enviable and attractive hub.

“Over the past two years, your leadership has delivered a series of transformative projects that have reshaped Delta State

“The multi-billion naira urban infrastructure overhaul in Warri–Effurun, including three major flyovers at PTI Junction, DSC Roundabout and the hitherto chaotic Enerhen Junction, a new cloverleaf, road expansions, and pedestrian bridges – are undeniably reshaping the metropolitan skyline of the Effurun axis.

“The completion of several kilometers of intra-city roads in Warri and its environs, extensive rehabilitation of roads across Udu, Okpe, Sapele, Ethiope West, and Okpanam–Ibusa bypass and other parts of Delta North and in Delta South are testimonies of the fulfillment of your MORE Agenda”, Djebah remarked.

The seasoned Nigerian diplomat and journalist also highlighted the governor’s commitment to the construction of bridges in different parts of the state, including the Beneku Bridge in Ndokwa West, Orere Bridge in Ughelli South, (both at completion stages)and other Bridge projects that are presently boosting connectivity and movement across the riverine and rural areas of the state.

The Diplomat who took time to emphasize Gov. Oborevwori’s two year impact on the state, also praised him for the educational component of the MORE Agenda saying:

“Your educational expansion project which includes the establishment of a new campus of Southern Delta University at Orerokpe, ongoing College of Health Sciences at Ozoro, College of Health Technology at Ovrode, and the completion of students’ hostels at Dennis Osadebay University among others, clearly demonstrates your commitment to education.

He also harped on the improvement in the state civil service, as well as the health sector and your attention towards improving the status of the SME in the state as a strategic driver of the economy.

“Enhanced civil service welfare, including the recruitment of 3,000+ teaching & non-teaching staff, payment of promotion arrears, implementation of a new minimum wage (₦77,500), and a pension bailout for local council retirees are all part of the MORE Agenda that are visible to all.

“In the Health sector, the renovation of over 140 primary healthcare centers, upgrading general hospitals and provision of medical equipment are noteworthy.

“Also noteworthy is the.social empowerment component of the MORE Agenda including the MORE‑Biz Up and D‑CARES schemes which have supported SMEs, farmers, artisans, women, youth, throughout the state.

“Your Excellency, as you celebrate your 62nd birthday, there is so much to celebrate and Deltans have every reason to join the celebration train.

“May your birthday attracts renewed strength and wisdom as you continue as you execute the MORE Agenda for the benefit of Deltans to the glory of God”, Djebah concluded in prayer.
