Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated the governor over the recent recognition and award of the Governor of the Year, 2025, by two national newspapers, praising his visionary leadership and the impact of his M.O.R.E. agenda on the lives of Deltans
The New Telegraph and the Leadership both popular national newspapers have awarded the Delta State Governor the prestigious Governor of the Year, 2025 in recognition of his people-oriented projects in the state.
In a statement, the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Distinguished Dafinone described the double awards as a “testament to Governor Oborevwori’s unwavering commitment to bridging gaps and fostering inclusivity, ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach every corner of Delta State”.
“It is with great pride and a sense of shared accomplishment that I, Senator Ede Dafinone, on behalf of the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District, extend my warmest congratulations to our Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, on your emergence as the Governor of the Year 2025.
“This double recognition by both New Telegraph Newspapers and Leadership Newspapers is a resounding testament to your visionary leadership and the tangible impact of your administration’s M.O.R.E. agenda”, he said
The senator also highlighted the governor’s unprecedented infrastructural development efforts, including massive road networks, signature bridges, and urban renewal projects, which are transforming the state’s landscape and laying a solid foundation for future generations.
He assured the Governor of continued legislative support and collaboration, adding that the recognition are “both a reward for performance and a mandate to sustain the momentum.”
