The recent election of the Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomitimi Dennis Guwor as chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, is not only a testament of his leadership but also a tremendous boost for the image of Delta State.
This was the assertion of no less a personality than the Distinguised Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Ede Dafinone as he profoundly congratulate the number three citizen of the State.
Dafinone stated this in a statement he issued today Wednesday February 11, 2026 even as he described the feat as a boost to democratic institution in Nigeria.
“This elevation is a significant win for Delta State, positioning us at the forefront of national legislative innovation. It is a profound testament to his leadership, integrity and vision”, Dafinone said.
The national lawmaker expressed confidence in the capacity and capability of the national chairman of Speakers, adding that he is poised to take democratic institution to a new height.
“I am confident that his new role will further strengthen our democratic institutions and the independence of the legislature across the federation”, stated, wishing “Rt. Hon. Guwor a successful and impactful tenure”.
