Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has joined other political leaders and admirers across Delta State to celebrate former Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, CON, as he attains his 71st birthday.
In a goodwill message personally signed by him, Senator Dafinone described Dr. Uduaghan as “a bridge-builder, visionary leader, and statesman whose legacy continues to shape the destiny of Delta State.”
According to the lawmaker, the former governor’s tenure was marked by foresight and compassion, with significant strides in healthcare, education, transportation and security, adding that he laid a solid foundation for the state’s socio-economic growth.
“His tenure as Governor laid significant groundwork for socio-economic stability, particularly through his landmark commitment to healthcare, education, and security, creating a sustainable foundation upon which subsequent administrations continue to build.
“He governed with empathy and vision, prioritizing the wellbeing of Deltans and ensuring that no community was left behind. His impact continues to resonate long after leaving office”, Senator Dafinone stated.
He also praised Dr. Uduaghan’s humility and political wisdom, describing him as a unifying force whose calm disposition and wise counsel continue to inspire younger leaders across the Niger Delta.
“Dr. Uduaghan represents a rare blend of intellect, humility, and service, His dedication to peace and unity has helped strengthen the political fabric of our state.
“He is not just a leader but a mentor whose life exemplifies true statesmanship”, Dafinone added.
Speaking on behalf of the people of Delta Central, the Senator expressed gratitude to God for the former governor’s life of service and prayed for continued health, wisdom, and fulfillment for him.
