Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Ede Dafinone, has called on members of the party for unity and renewed support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that current government policies have started yielding positive results.
Senator Dafinone who made this call while addressing party faithful at an end-of-year luncheon held in his country home, Sapele yesterday, December 30, also urged his key supporters in APC to embrace and work with all new entrants into Delta APC, adding that the party couldn’t win all positions in 2023 elections, and therefore, there is the need to build a more formidable party in Delta that can win all positions in 2027.
He reminded his audience that the APC now controls both the federal and state governments, stressing that cooperation was essential for meaningful development.
“We are all APC. Our governor, Elder Sheriff Oborewori is APC. Our president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is APC. So, we must continue to support them and their policies fully. We must work together, federal, state and local government as one big family”, he noted.
The trio of Olorogun Barr Adelabu Bodjor, Chief Abel Idigun and Chief Tuesday Onoge – chieftains of the party present at the ceremony, praised Dafinone’s stewardship in the Senate.
They called for patience amongst the constituents, pointing out that despite not being a ranking senator, the Senator has shown capacity and promise, assuring that his performance would improve further on his return to the Senate in 2027.
The event attracted party officials, former council chairmen, state executives, youth and women leaders across the Senatorial District.
