As the sterling performances of His Excellency Sheriff Oborevwori continues in all sectors across the State, the Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has aligned itself with the recent Governor’s remarks that opposition and political pretenders have become so jobless in their nefarious criticisms.
It would be recalled that the Governor, made the remarks during the commissioning of the 4.8-kilometer Oko–Amakom/Oko-Obiokpu/Oko-Anala Road and other interconnected roads in Oko Kingdom within Oshimili South Local Government Area.
In a statement issued in Asaba, the Delta State capital, the party noted that the scale of infrastructure development and people-oriented policies implemented under the Oborevwori administration has significantly transformed communities across the state and strengthened public confidence in the government.
The statement issued by the party, described ongoing massive development across the State as “a reflection of the current political reality shaped by the governor’s visible achievements and responsible governance”, adding that it also “accurately reflect the growing support the administration enjoys among the people of Delta State”.
According to the party, the widespread infrastructural development recorded across the state in the areas of road construction, urban renewal, educational development, and empowerment initiatives for youths and women has reshaped the political landscape and further consolidated the confidence of Deltans in the current administration.
“Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has demonstrated that governance is fundamentally about performance and the responsible management of public resources. Across Delta State today, communities are witnessing tangible development through completed roads, improved infrastructure, and projects that directly impact the daily lives of citizens,” the statement said.
The party further noted that the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and prudent utilization of state resources has distinguished the governor’s leadership and earned him widespread acceptance across the state.
It added that the successful execution of numerous development projects simultaneously across various parts of the state without reckless borrowing underscores the administration’s fiscal discipline and strategic planning.
The APC asserted that the growing number of completed infrastructure projects, including road networks, drainage systems, and educational facilities, has improved mobility, strengthened economic activities, and enhanced the quality of life of residents.
The party stated that the evidence of development being witnessed across Delta State under the governor’s MORE Agenda has naturally attracted increasing political support from communities, local government areas, and various political blocs.
“The people of Delta State are witnessing governance that works. They see roads being constructed, schools being improved, economic opportunities expanding, and communities being connected. It is therefore natural that they are aligning themselves with a leadership that has demonstrated commitment to genuine development,” the statement noted.
The APC maintained that opposition parties in the state have found it increasingly difficult to gain traction among voters because the people can clearly see the impact of the administration’s policies and projects. According to the party, the unprecedented level of development being recorded across Delta State has left the opposition with little to present as an alternative to the people.
“While some opposition voices remain trapped in criticism without solutions, the Oborevwori administration continues to focus on delivering practical development that benefits ordinary citizens,” the statement added.
The party also observed that the political momentum generated by the administration’s achievements is already shaping political permutations ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election, noting that the governor enjoys broad support across both urban and riverine communities.
“From community to community and across the various local government areas, the message from the people is clear. Deltans appreciate performance and responsible leadership, and they are determined to sustain the development trajectory already established,” the statement said.
The Delta APC therefore called on residents of the state to continue supporting the administration’s development agenda, emphasizing that unity and stability will enable the government to deliver even greater progress for the people.
“With the level of infrastructure development, responsible governance, and prudent management of public resources currently being demonstrated, it is evident that the political landscape of Delta State has changed significantly. The people have embraced a path of progress and development under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori,” the statement concluded.
