Call it a carnival of sort and you are quite right as the exquisite glamour of Lekki, in Lagos, came alive in a blaze of colour, culture, and celebration over the weekend with an array of the ‘who is who’ in Delta State and beyond led by the Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori were present to savor the wedding of Dr. Timothy Waive and his radiant bride, Dr. Toyin Coker.
The event is the wedding of Dr. Timothy Waive, son of the ever vibrant House of Representatives member, representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu federal Constituency, and his heartthrob, Dr. Toyin Coker in a glamorous Holy matrimony.
The occasion sparkled with elegance, drawing a galaxy of political heavyweights, traditional leaders, and distinguished guests including the Senator representing Delta Central, Distinguished Senator Ede Dafinone, Chief Ighoyota Amori, Governor Oborevwori’s Chief Adviser, as well as House of Representatives members suck as Hon. Victor Obizor, Prince Olande Mohammed, and Hon. Bello Isah Ayomba.
Governor Oborevwori and Senator Dafinone not only blessed the union with prayers but also shared heartfelt words, urging the young couple to build a marriage of love, harmony, and grace. “Marriage is a divine blessing,” they echoed, wishing Timothy and Toyin a lifetime of happiness and fruitfulness.
Senator Dafinone, in a touching goodwill message on his Facebook page, celebrated the couple with warmth heartfelt remarks,:
“I had the pleasure of joining family, friends, and well-wishers of Rt. Hon. Francis Waive to celebrate the traditional marriage of his son, Timothy, and his beloved, Toyin. Congratulations to the couple! May their union be filled with love, peace, and enduring happiness as they embark on this new chapter together”, he said.
The array of heavyweight politicians from Delta State also include Hon. Dr. Chris Oghenechovwen, former House of Reps member; Chief Patrick Wheleke, President-General of Ughievwen Kingdom; APC Ughelli South LGA Chairman, Hon. Chief Isaiah Kekeje and his wife.
Others are HRH the Queen of Ughievwen Kingdom; Chief Anthony Osieta; Prince Dr. Igho Egbi; Prince Frank Ugen, and many others, who added glamour and warmth to the celebration.
From the vibrant traditional attire to the elegant display of culture, music, and dance, the ceremony was a dazzling reminder of love’s beauty and family’s joy.
The occasion also highlighted the towering stature of Rt. Hon. Waive, whose friends, colleagues, and community leaders stood shoulder-to-shoulder with him to celebrate a new chapter in his son’s life.
It was, indeed, a union sealed not just in love, but in the warmth of family, friendship, and blessings from the high and mighty.
