As Chairman Dedicated Award To Gov. Okowa

As more recognitions pour in for the Executive Chairman of Warri North Local Government Area, Hon. Capt. Smart Yomi Asekutu over his sustainable excellent performance in the area, the Forum of Secretaries of Local Government Councils, Delta State chapter has conferred on the Council boss an Award of Excellence Performance.
The Forum led by its chairman and Ndokwa East Council Secretary, Mr. Augustine Okom, presented the award to the Warri North Council boss in Koko, headquarters of the area on Thursday August 11, 2022 during it’s meeting.
While delivering his opening speech, Okom stated that the award coincided with the Forum’s meeting which took place in Koko to n continuation of the its activities and familiarization tour of the 25 Councils Areas in the State.
He stated that the Forum was satisfied with the level of overall development in the Local Government Area which has also attracted both national, State and the traditional institution’s recognition, adding that the group’s award was a further confirmation of the award conferred on Hon. Asekutu by the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Abuja as the best performing Council, earlier in the year.
The Forum chairman, Mr. Okom, while commending the Council for the warm reception accorded to the members, also applauded the cordial relationship existing between the executive and the Council staff, especially in areas of staff welfare, among others.
In his acceptance speech, the Council chairman, Hon. Smart Yomi Asekutu, thanked the forum for the recognition, adding that the award is dedicated to his boss, the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, who gave him the opportunity to serve his people.
He thanked Forum’s members for the working synergy between them and their various Council Chairmen just as he prayed God to lift them to higher heights.
Meanwhile, the Council Chairman, Hon. Smart Yomi Asekutu, has dedicated the Award of Excellence bestowed on him by Delta State Forum of Secretaries, to the Executive Governor of the State, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa who, according to him, gave him the opportunity to serve his people.
He assured that he will commit the remaining part of his tenure to further develop the Council area.
Earlier in his address, the host of the occasion who is also the Warri North Local Government Secretary, Mr. Khalil Samuel, welcomed the Forum members on behalf of the Council, assuring them of a successful deliberation.
