Less than three months to the 2023 general election, the ruling PDP party is said to have been rejected in the Ndokwa nation made up of Ukwuani, Ndokwa West and Ndokwa East Local Government Areas of Delta State.
The deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress,.APC, in the State, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, who stated this at various venues in Umutu, Amai and Obiaruku during the party’s ward-to-ward campaign early this week, noted that the people of the area are set to cast their votes for the opposition party, APC.
According to Osanebi who is a former Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, the Ndokwa nation has resolved to ditch the PDP following its wicked neglect and marginalization of the people for a span of 23 years, adding that the people have therefore decided to cast all their votes for the APC this time around.
The former Deputy Speaker who carries the sobriquet of ’empowerment master’, assured that the APC will sweep and win the next general elections in the three Ndokwa local government areas from the presidency to the State House of Assembly 5/5, adding that the PDP which has been the tormentor-in-chief for more than two decades is now living in its past glory.
Osanebi vowed to replicate his feat as a Deputy Speaker when he empowered countless number of youths and women, adding that one can only imagine the level of development he will attract to Ndokwa nation as a Deputy Governor and a son of Ndokwa as the governor.
“As a High Chief of Umutu kingdom, the entire people of the kingdom have collectively agreed to vote for APC in the next year’s election to end the years of neglect and underdevelopment of the kingdom.
“The same position of Deputy Speaker that I occupied and gave a lot of our people from Ndokwa nation employment and empowered many others that made our people nickname me as ’empowerment master’ today is given to an Umutu man, the result is clear for all to see.
“This goes to show that it is a man that makes position, not position that makes a man, because there are people who will be in a place of power but do not know what to do with it. That is not our case. All of you are living testimony of what I did as a deputy speaker and what my boss, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege is doing as a Deputy Senate President”, he said.
The empowerment master also noted that Umutu people reward hard work hence he and his principal, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege were conferred with the prestigious title of Umutu Kingdom by the monarch.
He recalled how the current Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly lost an election in his ward in Umutu due to poor representation, adding that with Omo-Agege and Osanibi’s ticket, the Ukwuani people will be a subject of envy by other parts of the State.
The APC Campaign Train led by the party’s Governorship Candidate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, included the Director-General of the Campaign Council, Elder Godsday Orubebe, the State party chairman, Elder Omeni Sobotie, among other party chieftains.
