The APC House of Reps member representing Ethiope Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Ethiope Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu has been unanimously endorsed as sole candidate to continue her representation in 2027. This was the result of the party’s primary election that took place across the 22 wards of the Constituency on the 18th day of May, 2027.
While members of the party in the constituency have been savouring and celebrating the hitch-free direct primary election where the Amazon emerged as the sole aspirant in the election, members of the Ibori-Suenu Grassroots Network, ISGN, have identified her success as a product of “respect, humanity, humility, compassion, kindness, and empathy, alongside visible deliverables for all”, which have been hallmarks of her representation in the past three years.
This was the decision they arrived at when the members converged in a recent extraordinary meeting held at the instance of group”s principal, Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, recently.
“These activities clearly demonstrate that our Principal and Representative of Ethiope Federal Constituency continues to exemplify respect, humanity, humility, compassion, kindness, and empathy, alongside visible deliverables for the benefit of all.
“It was therefore fitting for the leadership and entire members of our party APC in Ethiope Federal to unanimously endorse and return her during the primary election to once again represent our party at the Green Chamber.”
Speaking with DeltaVoice on the outcome of the extraordinary meeting, the Director of Media and Publicity, Olorogun Dr. Henry Ogheneochuko Ofa, Ph.D, stated that the group discussed issues such as endorsement of candidates, observing moments of silence in Honourable of a departed brother, condolence visits, and a courtesy visit to a leader of the group, Dr. Wilson Omene and appreciation of national, national,state and constituents leaders and stakeholders.
Ofa added that the activities of the group has been copiously aired in the State-owned electronic media, DRTV, encouraging to keep tab with the TV station which has been a veritable platform for the publicity activity of the group.
Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu has just completed three years of her first term in the House of Representatives. Opinions about her performance naturally must differ depending on political affiliation and expectations.
However, considering her activities over the past three years, it is very obvious that it has been characterized by a number of achievements hence the overwhelming clamour by the constituents for her return in 2027.
