Officials and members of the Ibori Suenu Grassroots Network, ISGN, have showered encomium on its principal, Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu as she celebrates her 46th birthday.
In a goodwill message signed by officials of ISGN, the group described the Amazon of Ethiope Federal Constituency as a focused and purposeful leader whose act of benevolence, philanthropy and care are quintessential.
Members of the ISGN noted that they were not in anyway surprised at Hon. Erhiatake’s excellent leadership and charity, pointing out that it is a trait inborn and deeply embedded in her DNA.
“The Ibori Suenu Grassroots Network (ISGN), warmly felicitates with our esteemed Principal and Honourable Member of the Federal House of Representatives, Mrs Erhiatake Ibori Suenu, as she marks her 46th birthday.
“Today is not just a celebration of age, but of a life deeply rooted in service, compassion, and purposeful leadership. Your acts of charity and kindness are not accidental—they are innate, inherited, and deeply embedded in your DNA. You came into public service already equipped with a rich heritage of humanity, compassion, and selfless giving.
“We must also acknowledge that your exceptional performance is a reflection of your strong upbringing as a well-bred daughter of a respected political figure in the country. In this regard, we specially commend your father ,our father, for raising and nurturing a leader of your calibre. His investment in your values and character is clearly evident in your service to humanity”, the group acknowledged.
ISGN also used the occasion to reflect on the long history of Hon. Erhiatake’s achievement which they traced back to 2011 when she had not contemplated on going into politics, adding that she used her NGO to reach out to the less privileged, the elderly and persons with disabilities.
They acknowledged that beyond her lawmaking duties, she actually exploited the opportunity of being in the House to better the lot of her constituents.
“As far back as 2011, long before venturing into politics, you established a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting the less privileged, the elderly, and persons living with disabilities across your local government and surrounding communities.
“Through this initiative, mobile free clinics were set up in rural areas, bringing much-needed healthcare services closer to people who previously had little or no access. This legacy of care and service laid a solid foundation for the impactful leadership we witness today.
“Your journey into politics began with your participation in the 2015 general elections, where you contested for the State House of Assembly. Since then, you have remained consistent, focused, and result-driven, never disappointing the people who entrusted you with leadership.
“Today, as a distinguished member of the Federal House of Representatives, the true “House of Help”,your performance continues to reflect excellence, dedication, and a deep understanding of the needs of your constituents.
“Beyond legislation, your visible contributions in education, infrastructure, healthcare, and human capital development speak volumes of your leadership capacity and sincerity of purpose”, the group noted.
ISGN also commended the Amazon for her uncommon achievement in legislative duties, adding that the long streak of bills and motions she sponsored and co-sponsored equipped her with lawmaking experience that qualify her for a second tenure.
“At the Green Chamber, your achievements have been remarkable. Your sponsorship of people-oriented bills at various stages of legislative consideration underscores your commitment to long-term development and meaningful change”, the group stated.
ISGN noted that the celebration of the season was anchored on many fronts, stating that it coincided with the endorsement accorded her alongside the President, the governor amongst others.
“A defining moment in our collective political journey was April 12, a historic day, the President, the Governor, and you, alongside other elected officials were overwhelmingly endorsed for continuity in recognition of your visible and impactful leadership.
“We also proudly acknowledge tht this reconciliation and consensus were midwifed by the governor whose efforts brought about unity, strength and a shared vision for sustained development”, the group concluded
