Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated the traditional ruler of Okpe kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo (rtd), Orhue I, as the royal father celebrates his birthday.
Dafinone noted that it was a moment to honor the Orodje as well as a time to reflect on his uncommon commitment to peace and progress for the Okpe kingdom, Delta State and Nigeria in general.
“This celebration is not only a moment to honour your life but also a time to reflect on your unwavering commitment to the peace and progress of the Okpe people. Your reign has continued to inspire unity, dignity, and pride across the kingdom and beyond, no wonder the Bible said: “When the Righteous is on the throne the people rejoice”, he said.
Senator Dafinone further eulogized the reign of the Okpe Monarch, stating that his vision and foresight have actually attracted investment and development to the kingdom, adding that the royal father’s wisdom and diplomacy have ensured ethnic cohesion in the state.
He also commended the monarch for his sterling leadership quality as the chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers’ Council by offering fatherly advice to the state.
“Your Majesty, under your leadership, the Okpe Kingdom has witnessed remarkable development and measurable economic growth. Your vision and foresight have strengthened institutions, encouraged investment, and uplifted communities, ensuring that the kingdom remains a model of purposeful and progressive traditional governance. Your Majesty’s commitment to the welfare of our people continues to set a standard that is widely admired.
“As Chairman of the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, Your Majesty has consistently played a stabilising role in shaping the socio-cultural and political harmony of our dear state.
“Your wisdom, diplomacy, and guidance have been instrumental in fostering ethnic cohesion and peaceful coexistence among the diverse communities in Delta. Your voice has remained one of reason, balance, and fatherly counsel at critical moments.
“On this special day, I join the entire Okpe Kingdom, Deltans, and well-wishers across the world in celebrating your life of service, honour, and humility. Your dedication to truth, justice, and fairness continues to enrich our collective pursuit of a peaceful and prosperous society”, he noted.
Dafinone prayed for God’s blessings to the royal father, adding that “the Almighty God grants Your Royal Majesty many more years on the throne in good health, sound mind, and divine strength. May your reign continue to bring peace, unity, and greater prosperity to the Okpe nation and the entire Delta State”.
