There are strong indications that the ongoing holistic reconciliation process embarked on by the leadership of the Delta State All Progressives Congress, APC, is already a success, as all leaders/stakeholders of the party have keyed into the project to reposition the party in the State.
It would be recalled that since the reconciliation process was inaugurated a few months ago with the founding leader of the party in the State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor as the chairman, the team has worked assiduously round the clock to unite all stakeholders with a view to repositioning the party in the State.
The Reconciliation Team led by Olorogun Emerhor which visited a chieftain of the party in Delta North, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi and former State chairman of the party, Prophet Jones Erue in Isoko South LGA, has reported that the duo, amongst others, have pledged their support, co-operation and participation in the ongoing process to unite all members of the party for progress.
Speaking on the outcome of the Reconciliation Team’s meeting with Senator Peter Nwaoboshi in his Asaba home and Prophet Jones Erue, at his Emede, Isoko South LGA, last weekend, Olorogun Emerhor stated that the interaction with the duo was a huge success, adding that the two party leaders had pledged their support and cooperation with move to reposition the party.
According to the Reconciliation Committee chairman, both Nwaoboshi and Erue emphasized unity as a panacea for a formidable political force ahead of 2027, adding that they were prepared to join the bandwagon.
“We had a very insightful and fruitful meeting with Senator Nwaoboshi. His extensive and impactful political experience, including his time as State Party Chairman, was invaluable. It was a significant step forward.
“We also met with former Delta APC State Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue, and the APC Pioneer Group he leads. The meeting was vibrant and informative. One key takeaway was the need for unity and inclusivity. Many pioneer members feel sidelined”, Emerhor disclosed.
Emphasizing on the significance of the reconciliation process, Emerhor noted that the aim is to ensure complete inclusivity on the platform of fairness and justice.
He also stressed on the need to set aside grievances and embrace peace with a view to rebuilding the party collectively.
Olorogun Emerhor was accompanied by former Minister for Niger Delta, Elder Godsday Orubebe and Chief Judith Enamuotor.
