Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Olorogun Barr. John Nani, has called on all citizens of Delta Central of voting age to go to the nearest INEC registration centre to get registered to enable the participate in 2027 elections.
Nani who gave this charge while fielding questions from newsmen in Warri on Thursday October 9, 2025, stated that it is only the possession and usage of the voters’ card that they can make their choice as to who will be their leaders.
It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, commenced the ongoing exercise on August 18, 2025.
Olorogun Nani explained that those who attained the age of 18 as of August 18, 2025 are eligible to register to obtain their permanent voters’ cards, PVC to enable them participate in INEC-organized elections. He also encouraged those whose PVCs are lost or those whose addresses have changed to also register for a replacement.
“I call on the people of the people of the entire Delta Central Senatorial District who attained the age of 18 years by October to visit the nearest INEC registration centre and get registered to enable them obtain their PVC.
“The PVC is your power to make your choice on who should be your political leader or representative. It also enables one to support anyone you would want to work for”, the Aghwemutuwevwi of Urhobo land advised.
