Distinguished Senator, Ede Dafinone, has expressed profound condolences has to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, over the demise of his mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda.
The Senator who described the late mother of the chairman as a very devoted and disciplined Christian recalled that she alongside her husband, Rev. Toma Goshewe Yilwatda, fully dedicated their lives to the service of God through the Church of Christ in Nations, adding that her legacy of humility, faith and community service, would remain removable and inspiring.
“On behalf of the good people of Delta Central Senatorial District, I, Senator Ede Dafinone, extend my heartfelt condolences to the National Chairman of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, on the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Lydia Yilwatda. This loss is deeply felt, not only by the Yilwatda family, but by all who were touched by her kindness, faith, and selfless service.
“Mama Lydia Yilwatda lived a fulfilled life in the service of God and humanity. Alongside her late husband, Reverend Toma Goshewe Yilwatda, she worked tirelessly in the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), devoting her time, energy, and gifts to the propagation of the gospel.
“Her unwavering faith and steadfast commitment to Christian values remain a shining example for generations to come”, Dafinone noted.
Dafinone encouraged Professor Yilwatda and his family to find solace in the enduring legacy left behind by the late mother, adding that her life which epitomized faith, humility, and service to the Lord, will remain memorable.
‘May Mama Lydia’s soul rest peacefully in the bosom of the Lord”, Dafinone prayed.
